If you ever find yourself in, around, or bound for the Columbia River Gorge, I highly recommend the Vagabond Lodge in Hood River. Great rates, great views, wonderful lawns and garden areas, BEST bed in a hotel I have EVER experienced,
amazing linens (really!) and the biggest shower head I have ever seen in my life!
