The 68th Annual Cranberry Festival happened while we were in Bandon, and WOW!
Those people know how to throw a Cranberry Festival!
I guess they have had 68 years to practice.  Good job, Bandon!

I think every one of the 3,000 in town showed up for the parade.

Well, it’s a Kubota and it has Hoosier tires, but beyond that, what the hell IS it?
All we could figure was it MUST be a cranberry picker?

We really liked Newport.  It reminds me of both San Francisco and Monterey Bay.
LOTS of fishing boats and fresh seafood.  Aquarium, wax museum, lots of touristy stores and fun shopping, sea lions barking and a BRIDGE!

Just south of Yaquina Head and north of Newport lies Agate Beach.  We stayed at the Best Western Agate Beach and had a spectacular view of the beach and the lighthouse.
