Mom, this post is for you!<\/p>\n

OK – Besides the trinkets I have purchased for some family members, here is the report on my souvenir purchases. \u00a0I came to Hawai’i with a certain treat in mind – wanted to get a silver ankle bracelet with a whole string of sea turtles swimming around my ankle. \u00a0Looked everywhere to no avail. \u00a0I thought surely that would be easy to find!<\/p>\n

Two Hawai’i beach towels<\/p>\n

Two pounds 100% Kona Coffee<\/p>\n

Five plumeria hair clips<\/p>\n

Three Hawaiian print dresses<\/p>\n

Hawaii tank top with beautiful embroidery hibiscus and colorful “Aloha!” for Cyndi<\/p>\n

Green Hawaiian print shirt for Jer<\/p>\n

Koa wood ankle bracelet with a single sea turtle on it (purchased only after it was certain the one I was looking for could not be found).<\/p>\n

Kauai tank top with scary fish for Cyn<\/p>\n

Red dirt shirt with Kauai rooster for Jeremy<\/p>\n

Blue lava rock shirt with the Hamuhamunukunukuapua’a (Duh – it’s the state fish of Hawai’i!) for Jer<\/p>\n

Kauai calendar for 2014<\/p>\n

New seashell ornament for my Yule tree. \u00a0(That makes 5 or 6 seashells on my tree now!)<\/p>\n

AND – last but certainly not least: Sterling\u00a0silver ankle bracelet with a whole string of sea turtles swimming around it! \u00a0When I finally found it I took one look at the price and said “no” but Jer kept pushing and then the sales lady said – You like? \u00a0You want that one? \u00a0I repeated several times that I did not have that much money. \u00a0Then she offered to take 50% off! \u00a0I didn’t even ask! \u00a0I pulled out the magic plastic card.<\/p>\n
