<\/a><\/p>\nWe have been planning the trip all year and now it’s just six weeks away, so I have been spending more time visualizing the perfect vacation, confirming hotel reservations, and plotting side trips. \u00a0Here is the itinerary thus far! September 2 ~ Drive 10 hours (12-13 hours on the road with rest stops!) September 3 ~ Hike to Ramona Falls I expect the 8-mile hike to take four hours including a lunch break and a few hundred pixelated moments (we USED to call them “Kodak” moments in the old days).<\/p>\n Then we drive another hour and a half to Hood River, Oregon<\/a> on the Columbia River to stay in the Vagabond Lodge<\/a> for 3 nights.<\/p>\n September 4 ~ We plan to spend one entire day exploring the Columbia River Gorge from The Dalles to Crown Point.\u00a0 September 5 ~ We plan to spend a day doing nothing, then rest afterward.<\/p>\n Mount Hood from Vagabond Lodge<\/p><\/div>\n Columbia River from Vagabond Lodge<\/p><\/div>\n September 6 ~ We plan to make a 3-hour drive<\/a> take 6 hours at a leisurely pace through Astoria to reach the Tradewinds Condos<\/a> in Seaside, Oregon. \u00a0We will be in Unit 201 pictured in the link with the ocean view!<\/p>\n Astoria\u2013Megler Bridge<\/p><\/div>\n September 7 ~ Explore the area around Seaside and Canon Beach<\/p>\n September 8 ~ Another day doing nothing, then relaxing afterwards.<\/p>\n September 9 ~ Drive two and a half hours <\/a>to Newport where we will spend one night. \u00a0We have to take turns babysitting Boscoe here so we can each visit the Newport Aquarium on our own. \u00a0We tried to find a baby sitter in Newport, but could not find one we feel comfortable leaving Boscoe with.<\/p>\n September 10 ~ Drive less than 3 hours from Newport to Bandon<\/a>.<\/p>\n We’ll spend 7 nights at the Bandon Beach Motel<\/a>. \u00a0Besides doing nothing and then resting afterwards, our plans include just shooting the place up and walking on the beach!<\/p>\n September 17 ~ Drive 9 hours to Vallejo!<\/p>\n Home again home again, jiggedy jig!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Jeremy and I missed Boscoe last year when we vacationed in Hawaii, so this year we are taking our little boy to Oregon with us!
